Dreamland Shetlands

Dreamland Shetlands is located in Rockville, Mo.  A small town in west central Missouri 11/2 south of Kansas City. We focus our breeding program on Modern Shetlands ponies with a few Classic Shetlands thrown in as well as ASPR's (American Shetland Pony Registry) and Hackney ponies.  Our ponies can be used for show, pleasure and breeding and with quality ponies of all colors, sizes & ages for sale.

I’ve been with horses or ponies all my life. My mom put me on a horse as soon as I could sit. She instilled in me a great respect and love for the horse. My education with horses comes from 35+ years of hands on experience.

I began riding lessons at Hidden Valley at the age of 3. Hidden Valley (Bev Cathard) gave a wonderful start to the horse business.  Bev taught us how to care for horses, teach lessons, work horses, horse shows, and so much about life.  I then went on to work as a Saddlebred groom for 8yrs for stables in MO(The Meadows, Linden Hills, Wrapped In Rainbows) and KY (Melinda Moore and all the Moore family). I groomed many champions over those years to include: Extended Warranty, Token Favorite, Heir To Champagne, You Betcha, Heirs Heiress, Mad Max, Spill The Ink, And Air Force One to name a few of my favorites. I learned how important a groom was to his or her horse. I learned so much from all the different trainers I have worked under and use so much of what they all taught me today at Dreamland.  My pony career started in the summer of 2000. I came home from KY to help my mom w her Farm Show Me Ponies. We together trained ponies such as:Heartland Discovery, Knight’s Tennessee Tuxedo, Ch Dark Angel, and Garrison Tina Marie. We also began to build what would become the foundation of Dreamland Shetlands breeding program. 

Dreamland Shetlands this year will be working on development of the youth program.  More details to come.
